Frugal Foodies--Boston

Frugal Foodies in Boston takes place in Somerville (near Porter Square) on the first Saturday night of every month 6:30-10:00 PM (or whenever the last person leaves), and is hosted by Dan Bree and Jesse Robinson.

About the Hosts

Dan is a freelance nonfiction cable TV producer and writer, and first did Frugal Foodies in Berkeley and loved it. Since moving to Boston in 2008, he dreamed about hosting his own version of FF - and in 2010, it finally became a reality. Jesse is a native New Englander who works in the local school district. She recently bought a house in the area, and is all about hosting get togethers.

About the Format, Menu, and Themes

Each month features a new theme that connects all the recipes. Our first event featured all recipes colored yellow. Our second event was a benefit for Haiti, and all the dishes were Haitian in origin. Who knows what might come up next?

What to Bring

Please note that you should bring the following:

·Any drinks you wish to consume

·$8 to pay for the ingredients

·Tupperware for leftovers

·A chopping knife and a cutting board

·Please let us know when you sign up if you have any dietary restrictions and we will try to adjust our menu accordingly.
·We have 2 cats in the house. If you are highly allergic, you may want to consider not coming or taking allergy medication.
